Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh, a leading surgeon from Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, died in custody after more than four months of detention.

He was detained by Israeli forces while treating patients at another hospital and was later moved to an Israeli prison where he died.

An Israeli military spokesperson said that he had been detained for national security reasons but did not comment on the cause of his death.

  1. Israel testimony is like why you accused us it his fault to be die in our prison. Shame on Israel and people who support them. Why did they detained him, he is clearly security risk cause he save many peoples, he is the reason their operation too wipe out the Palestinian not succeed. May Allah reward him with Jannah and too his family and friends.

  2. Why is western media so corrupt? He was murdered. Shame on you guys. We didn't forget your headlines like "12 year old boy hit by bullet". You have no values.

  3. How on Earth is the Israeli government claiming that Dr Adnan Al-Bursh was a terrorist? Why was the late Doctor even being detained? Do IOF soldiers even know who they are murdering? The US had better be serious about protecting Rafah from invasion, is all can say. I believe that this entire catastrophe should never have happened. If the Peace Processes, that had been underway, had never been abandoned by the elected Netan yahu; I believe that reconciliation processes would have been recognised as essential, by now. What's been committed, cannot be undone. However, a new path can be taken, for future ☮.

I believe that Israeli citizens are going to need to reflect deeply on how and why they elected an evidently fascist government. I also believe that the US, the UK and most likely, a number of other countries will need to begin processes of formal apology for enabling the disrespect and oppression of Palestinians, by zionists, over what has really been a century of oppression. I've heard that the UN Special Rapporteur is investigating US complicity and I expect that investigation to result in cases being brought to the ICC.

I've read of a proposal, in the UK, for UK apologies to Palestinian people, related to Balfour declaration related, zionist criminal acts, in Palestine. That proposal was reported about a year ago, at the BBC and although I'm an Australian citizen, I plan to write to UK representatives to request that it be followed through.

  4. He didn’t just ‘die’ in an Israeli prison, he was tortured to death in an Israeli prison. Always downplaying acts of depravity

  5. STOP FUCKING LYING CHANNEL 4 NEWS YOUR ARE UTTERLY DISGUSTING ALL YOU JOURNALISTS SPEWING NONSENSE WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW.

  6. "Died" ? He was tortured and then murdered. Stop protecting Isevil if you want to be on the right side of history.

  7. " … in the institutions that should be the safest." You are absolutely right, they should be – until your dear Hamas people make them their center of command, as you well know, arsenal and keep Israeli hostages in them ….. hypocrisy at it best !!!!

  8. May he rest in peace. Grief is huge. Rest is redundant what the world says to stop the genocide or what Israel says or kills. Same old same old
