  1. It’s only a matter of time until this ends badly for the Orcas.

I know everyone here thinks it’s amusing that “rich people” (these small 15m sailing yachts aren’t exactly Jeff Bezos’s super yacht mind you) are being targeted by the Orca pods, but the moment someone dies as a result of this, I guarantee that sailors will start directly targeting them with weapons to defend themselves and their boats.

  2. For my part, I think it’s great that these orcas are trying to purge the world of wealthy people.

  3. Given the state of the world right now I welcome our new overlords

  4. As a Canadian I thrive on hiking, sup boarding, scuba diving and adventuring in the world If a bear attacks me I fight back, if a racoon goes after my food same, I also sail and same goes for the Orcas… I would not let them attack my sailboat. I have watched extensive footage and a good german documentary on the Orca boat attacks. It seems to me they are really smart and letting the action continue is encouraging it. A few seal bombs or loud sonic underwater defensive actions will not hurt them but they are smart they will go play with something else….

  5. Orcas obviously don’t like ultra-rich people and neither do most of us.

  6. Orcas are learning that humans for the most part are trash and ruining their environment… good on them.

  7. Don’t kill me for an honest question.

This appears to be learned behavior. If a boat owner tossed a stick of dynamite to one of the Orcas and blew it to bits, would the survivors leave boats alone?

Edit: ignore the improbability of success.
