I think this might be from the 15th, based on the source. The 15th indicates HK as the specific target, whereas sorties flown on the 16th were over an entire region (recon, targets of opportunity). Part of a wider air campaign at the time.
Great pic though. I found a couple of others from the same raid.
Looked it up and he was the grandfather of John McCain the presidential candidate.
