  6. City will have *won* the PL. Spurs had their actual chance of denying us the league a couple of weeks ago.

  7. I mean Tottenham didn’t really do anything tbh. City took a step closer to the title as many people expected. The title race is still on mathematically, although city’s game on Sunday seemingly looks like a procession. The title was decided the weekend arsenal lost to villa and Liverpool lost to palace, putting city in the driver’s seat. Arsenal just ran them to the last day and now hope for moyes and west ham to do a solid for their ex captain 😂.

  12. Bizarre they’d hand out the title after 37 matches. I understand people’s presumptions of results, but if city draw, then Arsenal will have the title with a win.

  16. That first goal was perhaps the softest goal I’ve seen from any Premier League club all season long. Haaland was completely unmarked, the players were trotting, there was no pressure on the ball. It was a total joke.

  17. Tottenham didn’t deny Arsenal anything tonight. Arsenal blew it due to a mediocre spell earlier in the year. It’s over anyhow – there’s still a game to play…not that anything will change much, I can’t see West Ham beating Man City, although I could see the Gooners screwing up against Everton. Congrats to Villa – nice to see them in the CL

    I get the assumption and expectation that city will win their last game and probably will, but they still have to actually get it done.

    I’m not a fan of either team, but anyone who says that Arsenal have bottled it is seriously delusional. It has been a great competition and a great title race between two best clubs this season. Both had an amazing season, one has to win it, but whoever does NOT win it is by no means a loser and that team still had an awesome season.

    I’ve seen some seriously stupid posts here this season like deciding a title winner with one more game to go when two teams still have a chance to win it.

    Then there were those who seem to be under some delusional impression that Everton has cost Liverpool the title when that is totally untrue and Liverpool lost the title themselves when they lost at home against CP. From that point on, the title was out of their hands already, so if anyone cost Liverpool the title, then it is CP.

    And then to top it off, so called “supporters” cheering on the opposition and wishing for their own team to lose just to deny another team something when your own team still has a lot to play for…well that’s just wow.
    I understand not being overly annoyed if your team loses, but to actively support another team and wishing for your own team to lose just to stick it to a rival, that’s literally a definition of a petulant, petty, plastic supporter.

    And congrats to AV, awesome season and a great achievement. A team on the up with some great young players and an experienced manager. Plenty of room to improve and achieve even much more in the coming years.

  26. I actually hope Chelsea or Newcastle finish above spurs now, they way they cheered their own team losing is beyond pathetic, especially when you’re enabling fraudulent criminals like city to keep getting away with embezzlement of trophies they never deserved.

  27. If you have to look at one area where Arsenal lost the title, it’s only gaining 1 of 6 points from Fulham. Ooooff..

  29. Villa beating Arsenal at Emirates a few weeks ago is really what denied Arsenal.

  32. Bummer but getting 1 point from villa and fulham was a killer. Can’t complain about other teams failing to win games for us. It is what it is and I hold out hope for a miracle because that’s what’s sports are about

  33. Villa won the European cup in 1982 by beating Bayern München. Definitely not their first time in the competition.

  37. Arsenal and Spurs not getting what they want and their fans fighting must warm my heart as a Chelsea fan, but I kinda feel bad for Arsenal. Arsenal, according to me, did not bottle it. They’ve shown some real grit. I know those points lost against Villa and Fulham come to mind. But City lost to Villa too and this season’s Chelsea took 4 points off of this City side. City will win/won the title because they’re relentless. They haven’t lost a game in 2024. That Arsenal have run them this close is a good thing for the premier league.
