Does anyone know what the temperature and humidity parameters are? The hall I’m working in feels so sticky, humid and heavy.

  1. Considering it’s winter and outside air is dry, this is quite humid. Dew point is around 12-13 degrees so you are quite likely getting water condensation in structures (at or near windows, doors and other cold bridges).

You might want to look into ventilation and see whether it’s working.

  2. That percentage is relative humidity. If it’s 100% that means there’s as much water vapor in the air that is possible in that certain temperature. Usually comfortable air humidity is around 40%, during winter it’s usually much lower especially if the building has mechanical ventilation.

  3. Euuugggh, having grown up in the US south (North Carolina), that is–yeah, that would feel AMAZINGLY STICKY.

  4. A perfect humidity level is 40%.
A bit less or more (30% – max 50%) should be ok. 70% is too much and it’s not healthy.

  5. Hahaha coming from Auckland, New Zealand where humidity is regularly in the 80’s and 90’s I looked at that and was like “oh that looks completely fine” 😂😂😂
