Since he has been playing at right-back in this Bundesliga season, Joshua Kimmich has registered 4.2 expected assists (xA), second only to Kevin de Bruyne (4.7 xA) across Europe’s top five leagues during that period [@OptaFranz]

That’s cool and all but to be honest, his defensive stats and how he’d stack up in that regard would be more interesting
Love seeing him play RB … TBH he didn’t look outstanding against vini jr. but that’s to be expected because of the pace difference… Other than that matchup he always looked really hard to get by and was really good in our attacking play … So many progressive passes, something he lacks when he plays DM in my opinion
Honestly, his stats in midfield are also really good… I would still like to have some more advanced RB (more speed, more defensive) and him in DM.
The best RB in the world. I can’t believe there are people who still want to see him play in midfield.
Kimmich just doing Kimmich things. I still believe he remains in the midfield he just got his form back and people pretend he reivented himself. He plays in offense basically as a CWB anyway but showed that he is a defensive liability against fast opponents.
I assume he might want to leave if Tuchel stays – he could go to any top club and play the role he likes.
