If a family member of mine was canvassing, I’d be telling them not to, no matter what side of the political divide they sit on.
There is some absolute lunatics about. Disappointed fucking losers angry at the pitiful lives and their failures. Blaming an easy outlet for their woes.

You see this sub is moderated so anyone who had an opposing view would probably get banned. The fact is we live in a democracy and if enough people don’t want to take in asylum seekers thats should be respected since that’s how a democracy works. Some polls say 70% of the population is opposed to immigration in its current form.
This will put the kaybosh on TD clinics now, and armed gardai around our TDs at all times.
This is essentially terrorism
I hope this is a wake up call for the Green Party and they realise that the only way FF and FG get back into government next year is with far right support. They need to pull the plug on this lame duck government and stop the rise of the far right.
The only antidote to the rise of the far right is to end the right wing government and have a left wing government.

Our democracy is worth protecting from these weirdos that think they have a God given right to abuse and attack people out canvassing.
