Has anyone worked towards (or achieved) a “diplômes d’études professionnelles en formation continue (DEPFC)” from the Chambre des salariés? I am trying to work out how to get one but I am confused, and when I emailed both the CSL and the LLLC for an explanation they told me nothing that wasn’t on the web site. Now I’m confused AND frustrated….can I go and speak to someone in person, in a building?

I am specifically looking at the Expert bureautique set of modules if that helps. Gaining this certification may be my only chance for employment here.

The part that I can’t wrap my head around is this: there are three modules, each with the relevant courses in them. Within each module I have to do the obligatory courses and then either one or two extra of my choice. Can I use the obligatory courses that from a previously completed module to fill in the spaces of my other “free choice” courses? There is a clear overlap between the modules but nobody seems able or willing to answer my questions….

All I can work out is that I need all three of those “profiles” in order to get the final diploma. I am so frustrated I could cry.

  1. It looks like you can, but each mandatory module can only be taken once as an optional module. They mention evening classes, so unsure if it applies more generally.

For additional questions, you should try to contact the person in charge of the profile, instead of some assistant. Probably useless to go in person at some reception because your will speak to another assistant.

Finally, for most jobs in the private sector whatever you learn is more relevant than the respective diploma.
