My Latvian relative suggested I shouldn't wear these shoes in Latvia due to the "Z" resemblance. Would people associate the slanted "N" logo with the Russian "Z"?

  1. no, we don’t live under a rock. we know of new balance shoes

    edit. new balance ofc xd

  2. Your relative is bonkers. Thats just a pair of NewBalances

  3. I’m sorry, but it’s funny 😀

No one in their right mind would associate NB with that darn “Z”

  4. No that’s just some crazy mental gymnastics, nobody will make this connection.

  5. Do I like the logo – no (not because of rf). Do I care what shoes you got – also no.

  6. I wear New Balances nearly every day and have yet to be beat up by somebody. Perhaps today will be the day, but I think you’ll be fine.

  7. Just keep your feets horizontally at all times and you should be fine.
Or even better – try to walk on your heels while trying to raise your toes, so the N is not leaning forward.

  8. was thinking about this, but still bought, they are stylish and comfy

  9. No.
But it’s nice to hear that some do worry about it

  10. IMHO, better wear ONs or PUMAs. For long distance walking (away from people!) have Japanese Saucony – perfect quality with awful design.

  11. Tell your friend to go back to elementary school if he can’t see the difference Z vs N.

  12. Hahah wait until you get hit in Face for wearing it.

  13. Only if you wear it with a t-shirt with pootin’s portrait on it

  14. Get yourself a pair of teslicks, that’s alright with me man 👍👍

  15. While this deserved a chuckle in the early days of the war, nowadays. takes like these are plain retarded.

  16. Honestly nobody will even care what kind of shoes you’re wearing, even more so nobody will even imagine to make such insane mental gymnastics to that connection.
