  1. After the judge in Georgia dropped 3 charges for Trump, Trump is now charged for 88 felonies. What a nice number for Trump, 88, given that he is a Nazi.

  2. Trump is intentionally using congressional reps as his surrogates to violate the gag order, in the hope of using congressional immunity as a shield.

It’s a frivolous argument of course, but it will cause delay if the judge tries to enforce the gag order. Which is what Trump actually wants.

  3. What day is the liar lying about going to his kid’s graduation?

  4. Defense strategy today:

Blanche: Tell us you’re a shithead

    Cohen: I’m a shithead

    Repeat until 4 p.m.

  5. The Fibbernazi Sequence’s Entourage this morning:

    Kevin Spacey

    Aaron Rodgers and Harrison Butker

    Bill Cosby

    Tucker Carlson

    Lindsey Graham

The second gunman on the grassy knoll

An Ivanka look-alike that goes by the stage name Ivanna Hump

    Galactic Emperor Palpatine (character witness)

George Santos, and his alter ego, George Santos

MTG and Bobo definitely not on uppers

  6. Who thinks the prosecutor is going to bring up trumps surrogate gag order violations at the start today?

  7. Thank you Todd Blanche and Susan Necheles for helping to convict Donald Trump. Welcome to the Deep State.

  8. Think of how peaceful it would be to be to juror and to abstain from all news for a few weeks.

  9. I’m gonna predict how today’s gonna start out…

Blanche: “Is it true you called me a pissy crybaby???”

Cohen: “sounds like something I would say.”

  10. So remind me, is this indictment and now trial stemming from the grand jury voting to indict Donald? I ask as I keep seeing GOP politicians trash the whole thing as “a political sham”, and that type of rhetoric seems pretty un-American to me.

  11. Wait… the Department of Justice is running a criminal trial…? Say it ain’t so.

  12. remember Republicans, you support this man who had an affair with a pornstar while his wife was pregnant and then used your campaign donations to pay her off.

    Real nice guy huh?

  13. The defense is expected to finish questioning Cohen today and have off tomorrow for Barron’s graduation (aka Trump skipping it for a rally). Should we expect some news from the defense about calling witnesses in their case? They’ve been hinting that they won’t call anyone while also hinting that Trump might testify (which he definitely won’t)

  14. i will not be following along to the live updates today because i’ve turned into a politics junkie lately and i need a break but i look forward to seeing a summary of it at EOD

  15. > [Bromwich, NY Times] …

    > This will be Cohen’s third day on the stand and we expect him to be attacked all day, as the defense seeks to call his credibility into question.

  16. >With him today are his lawyers plus: Reps **Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert**, Eric Trump, and Boris Epstheyn.

Ahhh, so now the clown car has shown up, huh?

  17. “The judge, as you know, is highly conflicted, like nobody I’ve ever seen this conflicted; he should not be the judge. He should not be allowed to have anything to do with this case. He should be so far away this case,” Trump told reporters.

Wow, he’s on a cocktail today.

  18. Are we all in agreement that Trump’s ‘papers’ are a clear prop so he looks busy and engaged?

  19. Does anyone know if there is a podcast that has commentary in real time during the trial?

  20. Do jurors usually become friends during long cases like this, or are things usually pretty professional between them? Are they instructed not to talk to each other during breaks?

  21. It’s really embarrassing now they’re openly all wearing the same “uniform” to suck up to Trump. Like, do they think this is scary and intimidating and not just pathetic and old? I wonder if their cosplays include diapers 🤐https://www.threads.net/@bidenharrishq/post/C7B-9LxKjg5/

  22. Wonder what Trump is drawing up for Maggie Haberman to ghost write.

  23. Alex Woodward is braving the rain for us to be at Manhattan Criminal Court once again this morning and sends this damp dispatch:

“A canopy of umbrellas and personal tents have turned the line outside a criminal courthouse in downtown Manhattan into a small village, waiting in the rain for what could be the final day of the prosecution’s case in Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial.

“Michael Cohen, the former Trump loyalist who admitted to lying and bullying on his behalf for years, will likely finish up on the witness stand after spending eight hours over two days testifying against his former boss

“Defense attorney Todd Blanche opened cross-examination with a burst of barely disguised contempt for his client’s former lawyer.

“He asked Cohen if he remembered calling him a ‘crying little s***.’

“Cohen, dryly, replied: ‘Sounds like something I would say.’

“Before Blanche could finish his next question, about another of Cohen’s insults aimed at Trump’s attorneys, Justice Juan Merchan cut him off and called him to the bench out of earshot of the jurors and courtroom.

“‘Stop making this about yourself,’ he told Blanche.

“The hour that followed meandered from Cohen’s past praise for Trump and his more recent insults, an attempt to paint Cohen as a fickle opportunist and serial liar out to save his own skin. But it’s unclear whether Blanche landed any clear blows. Cohen had already told jurors that he was ashamed of his role as Trump’s enabler, paid the price with a federal conviction and prison sentence, and has since told the ‘truth’ about him. Even under Blanche’s questions, Cohen said a phrase that hung over the rest of afternoon: he was ‘deep in the cult of Donald Trump’.

“Blanche will pick up where he left off in the hopes of painting Cohen as a wholly unreliable witness to the allegations at the heart of the case.

“Cohen is the sole witness who can directly link Trump to approving hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, and then signing off on Cohen’s reimbursement plan that he repeatedly explained was fraudulent.

“Jurors will be excused at 4pm, and then defense attorneys will see whether they can bring up an expert witness when, or if, they present their case.

“It’s still not clear if Trump will testify. Blanche told the judge this week that Trump still hasn’t given him any indication that he will.”

  25. Wonder if the sidebar is about the gag violations again

  26. Uh oh. Boebert is there? This trial might involve some steamy topics. I hope she can control her urges.

  27. Court begins with all lawyers up front in sidebar with judge.

    > [Christobek, NY Times] Although Trump has a large group of supporters sitting behind him, he is nearly alone at the defense table as most of his lawyers participate in the sidebar. Susan Necheles, the longest-serving lawyer on his team, is at the table but seated at a distance from him.

But is it far enough away?

  28. This will never happen but it would be hilarious if enough members of the House violated the gag order that the judge threw them all in jail and then while they were in jail, Democrats got the majority and made Jeffries speaker.

  29. If court turns into a circus with all of these people suddenly showing up for trump can the judge eventually say only necessary people are allowed further on

  30. How embarrassing to be members of Congress and having to be told to put your phone away. If it was any other group, I would think this would be their most embarrassing moment

  31. Hugo Lowell: Trump already has his eyes closed as Judge Merchan huddles with the prosecution and defense counsel in the longest sidebar so far of the trial. They appear to be discussing scheduling.

Me: Don appears to be sleepy… SAD!

  32. holy crap, vote every one of the mf’ers OUT
