I need to drill 80mm deep holes in the ceiling for a pull-up bar, but I want to make sure I dont drill into pipes or wires. I’ve marked the spots in the picture.

For whatever it’s worth, we live in an apartment and there’s an apartment above us (we are on the ground floor). We have the wiring plan of our apartment, but I dont see any plan that contains info on pipes. What’s normally the best way to know this? Will a wire/stud detector work? Thanks in advance.

  1. A wire stud detector will work for your electric cabling on your side, and maybe reinforcement of the concrete slabs above.

Normally, from electric cabling above you, you should have any issues, as they run on the other side of the slabes. And when you drill only 8cm, neither from their pipes.

So put that marker ring on your drill bit before you drill a hole in the tiles of your upstairs neighbors.
