It seems unfair that he can constantly hand out these lenient sentences, reoffending rates in Ireland are high and he gives no deterrent
Christ who the fuck cares if this man made a fool of himself or has learnt his lesson (after three whole weeks’ incarceration)? What about the traumatised student? Did *her* resultant feelings carry any weight in the trial? The paltry punishment certainly dismissed her experience. Not only was her privacy horribly violated, but she was threatened pretty seriously while vulnerable and dependent on this man, and in a strange country. You’d think these were serious crimes as well, but it seems not.
I hope Judge Nolan is being bombarded with emails about how not maintaining a zero tolerance policy with sexual crimes has been the cause of many escalations. (I refer the judge to the Metropolitan Police in recent years and what transpired more than once when serial flasher behaviour was dismissed. You cannot simply *trust* such men to rein in their horrible urges. )
Is there any avenue in Ireland for us to call for Nolan to be removed? He does this a lot and seems to piss off lots of people and worse, kinda send the signal to women that even reporting this kind of disgusting behavior won’t go anywhere.

There needs to be some serious reform of sentencing for crimes in this country. Because it’s ridiculous that suspended sentences get handed out for crimes like filming someone without consent or harassment.
Right my new theory is that Nolan has some serious skeletons in his closet and he’s setting legal sentencing precedent so that when he’s in front of a judge he might get off as lightly as cunts like this.
