I mean because this was a political act that the the police came up pretty quickly and said this was politically motivated everybody wanted to fill in the blanks about what those politics were and indeed we saw all kinds of things going around uh social media about what his intentions may be but as was just mentioned it is still really really unclear and I have a feeling it’s going to remain unclear I don’t think from what we’ve seen uh in terms of people trying to piece through his uh social media it’s 24 hours late and we don’t know which probably means that his politics are going to be a little bit unclear which leaves people room to kind of fill in their own uh the blanks in a way that they might want to see things and of course there also we’re also going to hear the explanation uh that looked this was just somebody with mental health problems and maybe something he saw in the political world sparked him
… Police confirm the arrest of a 71-year-old man suspected of carrying out the attack but the exact reasons behind his decision to try and assassinate the Prime Minister still remain unclear. Authorities revealed, however, that the attack was somehow politically motivated, as the shooter had decided to carry out the attack following the election of Prime Minister Robert Fitco
