Good. Nothing says I love my fanbase like taking money to flog risky investments to them without being transparent. No doubt they’ll get sympathy from their “fans”, the same fans they wouldn’t have given a single fek about if they lost their savings.
An most of her fans/followers are the type of people to fall for such shit what is this world.
This and all the MLMs are proof positive that we are living in the era of influencer flops, as stated by a writer I follow last year!
Regarding your observation regarding their silence, however, I’m sure their attorneys have counseled them to remain silent, particularly while the charges are still pending and before they’ve received a sentence.
I used to sell these for part of my job 15 years ago, and I always made sure that prospective customers understood the risks as well as the benefits. For something with 5% margin you could lose up to 2x your deposit betting the market would rise, and the potential loss if you bet the market would fall was unlimited. Most of them decided not to go ahead and some of the ones that did liked them for other reasons than the gearing (e.g. they were exempt from stamp duty). The Level 4 exams to be qualified in this area were not easy. There is no chance these influencers understood them.
