Didn’t Germany forbid Lithuania’s weapon donation to Ukraine?
Germany needs to pick up their economic pace and get their act together.

* The GDP of France went down 8% in 2020 and back up 7% in 2021
* The GDP of Germany went down 4.6% in 2020 and back up 2.8% in 2021
So both are still below pre-pandemic levels by 1.x%. The German economy does not grow as much, because it was not hit as hard and it is still is a bit lower since the pandemic hit later. So nothing to see here.
But of course comparing the 7% growth of France to 2.8% in Germany makes a much better headline.
As Merkel has said, the German economy needs cheap natural gas.

Their producer price index for industrial goods [went up 24%](https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Economy/Prices/Producer-Price-Index-For-Industrial-Products/_node.html)
This is mostly due to the high price of natural gas.
France is less dependent on foreign gas because they have nuclear power.
