Newry could be lovely but the amount of investment public and private it needs I’m not really sure could happen.
That was actually quite the eye opener, I hadn’t realised so many of those stores around the town were now shut. The Dunnes on Hill Street used to be packed every day of the week.
Then from the Abbey Grammar down the hill and all the way to North Street flats, actually shocking to see how much of this infrastructure is just rotted away.
Newrys dead, even look at the Fathom line bridge proposal, the South offered to fund which every design was chosen, preferably a bridge that opened, what did Dfi say – proposal has been finalised, planning has been submitted, cheapest option to go forward.
