I’m not one for fake grass *however* looks like you’ve got a healthy amount of real plants in there so I can give it a pass. Maybe add another planter with some wildflowers for the bees if you get chance?
Good few hours work there OP! Nicely done
Looks better but I hate that you’ve used fake grass.
That shed was clinging on for dear life 😂
About 2 years between the before and after. The before picture actually got even worse while I was renovating the house as I used it as a temporary skip.
What’s wrong with your grass?
You’ve turned that into a really nice space. Well done
Congratulations, that’s a huge improvement. Did you level it out too, looked like there was a step down on the before pic? A lot of work has gone into that and whilst I’m not a fan of fake grass, I love all the greenery you’ve created.
Can I have those piss jugs?
Before people start on about the fake grass, let me point out that OP has a concrete base in their garden.
If you can criticise despite that, then you can also go round and help them smash up the concrete, carry it into a skip, transport compost there and help reseed.
I did our garden path – foot wide, 60 feet long – and even just hitting it with a sledgehammer and pickaxe nearly killed me. So I’m hardly surprised OP has simply covered it over with astroturf.
You’re going to be ripped apart for the fake grass but considering what it was before, good job.
You’re going be be destroyed over the fake grass
Good work
Love a good before and after.
This is not one of those times.
Plastic not-so-fantastic
Hard work and pride. Good for you!
Hope you have no dogs with that fake grass
The only acceptable use of fake grass.
Well done – the whole thing looks lovely: you should be proud 🙂
I’m not a fan of artificial turf, but it’s a huge improvement.
Why you put carpet down outside?
Ewww
Hate that plastic shite.
Should have just jet washed the concrete nice and clean instead of laying down green plastic
If you reverse them it’s the before & after of my garden!
Aw, you took out the decorative jugs! Also, thank you for labeling the ‘before’ pick. Nonsense aside, nice work!
Glad to see you brought the Sun to your neighbourhood too.
Looking good! Did you level it out, or is it just how the photo’s been taken?
(Homeowner with slopey concrete yard asking!)
Better before, it atleast it wasn’t covered in plastic.
It looks lovely, I hope you get many warm sunny evenings to chill in it OP
I did a similar thing two years ago! I did actually lay real turf, but my garden was just a bit bigger than this (space for a shed to house a mower), and it wasn’t concreted – it was paving slabs and gravel. A bastard to shift, but nowhere near as hard as breaking up actual concrete (I did have to use a sledgehammer to destroy a couple of small pointless walls though). Good for the health; no need for the gym.
That’s one good looking wall, love the colours
Reminds me of the time I accidentally set my TV to ‘Vivid’

Well done – it looks amazing!
Great job, should be proud of that
That’s great, is that fake grass?
Fair play. You should be happy with that.
