Next up is Azerbaijan. If anyone knows anything about Azerbaijani cuisine, let me know if you have any suggestions.

  3. Thank you for not pouring a sauce over the Schnitzel.

Otherwise we would have to report you to r/SchnitzelVerbrechen

  4. Noice! Extra points for the lingonberries, no sauce on the Schnitzel, and an excellent choice in beer (/r/austria will probably lynch me for that).

  5. Awesome, hope you enjoyed it! It‘s a bit weird you prepared two warm desserts alongside the main course, but great pic ofc 😂

  6. The only nitpicking you could do is that the crust on the Schnitzels is a little uneven (didn’t use enough oil or didn’t properly swirl the pan) and that’s something only experienced Schnitzel experts get right. Other than that this could be the dinner table from my grandma. Sir, i bid you a traditional Chapeau!

  7. Ahh, nice to see you could gather all the ingredients. You should definitely open a sub just for your cooking.
Which books did you read about Austria?

  8. Everything looks great … and how did it taste? What did you enjoy most?

ps.: not sure if the dough of the apfelstrudel is too thick, we do it a lot thinner, but i am not a strudel-pro.

  9. Just curious what the dish at the top left and the one in the brown glass dish is? I’m American so it’s fair that I don’t know, but even my Austrian husband can’t identify them. It looks to me like the top left is some kind of potato pancake? I really don’t know but I’m curious. Also, where did you find Felix in the US?

  10. very nice! Wiener Schnitzl mit Preiselbeeren und Petersil-Erdäpfel dazu Kaspressknödel und ein Bier, zur Nachspeis gibt’s an Kaiserschmarren mit Apfelstrudel, top. I had the same menue today inclusive the bottle of grüner Veltliner. I’m not sure is this kaiserschmarren? And what is in the brown bowl? Sauerkraut? Anyway it looks great and made with love.
