Probably driver training. What was odd about the interior?
There’s a special service that runs as a restaurant which is normally stationed up at Epping. It’s the same carriage style so I’m assuming it’s that one.
Think it’s used as a private hire for corporate/wedding reception etc.
If the inside looked very production line mechanical esque, it was likely the Rail Adhesion Train or RAT. It’s used to clean rails and make it easier for trains to grip the track and is usually seen leaf fall season on the above ground parts of the central line
Maybe football fans on it
Thats London Underground Transplant’s Track Recording Vehicle.
it runs around taking measurements and condition checks of the tracks and assets on the railway
“One of the 1960 Stock trains was retained by LUL and remained in use as track recording train, running with 1973 Stock trailer TRC666. It was overhauled at Eastleigh Works in 2019”
