What he should of done was surrendered. Then join the Ukrainian’s. Walking pass his dead comrades and realizing he doesn’t want this fight. But his own might shoot him or imprison him but probably force him back into the fight. Hopefully he spreads the word how everyone is getting killed. In a perfect world they would all refuse to fight and march against putin. Slava Ukraine.
Pretty sure this will have been an out of munitions thing, rather than an act of kindness, given how they let him wander off to his own lines whilst he still had his gun, as opposed to the usual “he has a gun, he’s an enemy”/”he’s an enemy and he’s not surrendered” that usually end in them being hit…..might see him on the next upload tho, if his own side doesn’t shoot him for surviving

I wouldn’t spare any soldier holding a weapon. Put down the weapon, take off your armor and walk backwards to a Ukrainian position for processing.
He’s pretty lucky. Ukraine (or any military at war) is under no obligation to spare someone under these circumstances.
