Max Eberl and Christoph Freund made massive efforts to keep Thomas Tuchel at the club, but ultimately lacked support from the very top. Tuchel rejected Bayern's offer on Wednesday evening. On Thursday the club tried to change his mind with a few concessions, but that didn't convince him. Eberl and Freund had promised Tuchel a new 3-year contract, but that did not reflect in the concrete papers that were presented to him on Wednesday. Tuchel had the impression that the big bosses sent Eberl and Freund to negotiate with him, but didn't give them enough power to act
Eberl and Freund were not involved in the decision to part ways with Tuchel in February. In this respect, they could have started again with the coach in the coming transfer summer without any burdens. However, the club's big bosses, who made the decision, had trouble admitting their mistake in retrospect. The supervisory board was in favour of continuing with Tuchel only for one year. Tuchel did not want that

Both Eberl and Freund might as well just resign then.
What’s the point of staying if you’re just doomed to be Brazzo 2.0, a puppet of the old and senile?
I bet every Trainer on Earth will be happy to work in this environment. Gotta be easy to find someone good for only a year. This will be a good season lads, i expect a tripple.
Quite simply unacceptable if true. The processes at the top are clearly broken. We talk about a clear out in the squad, but a clear out in the boardroom might be more important
Do Freund and Eberl have actually any decision power at Bayern? There’s no perfect coach but the board isn’t happy with anything. They could bring Heynckes and Uli would find something to complain about.
If it’s true then i wouldn’t be surprised if we see Eberl resign in the very near future, that’s no environment to properly work.
Embarrassing
Funny how there’s been a petition for everything but never once we had a movement to get the fossils that are actively manipulating our club out for good. Or at least to send a message
Uli raus!
If that is true, they really need to think about changing the organisation of the club. If Freund and Eberl don’t have the power to make own decisions…why even work for the club in those positions?
I really don’t get it anymore (not that it matters, but still) They don’t have a better option (they don’t seem to have any option) and they want to reach the cl final next year…sure.
Uli’s like congress in the United States…too old to be having that much power in such affairs. He’s a club legend but we can’t continue to keep giving him such a loud voice and say in the everyday matters of Bayern.
Called it when the shitshow kicked off – Uli is using Tuchel as scapegoat, because Tuchel eere publicly commented on the (bad) transfer strategy being imposed on him aka no CM help.
Fast forward and turns out that Tuchel’s assessment was correct but since the old geezers are too stubborn and arrogant to admit a mistake, they just go on blaming it on the coach.
Vintage Uli is back and he brought the entire circus. What a helmet
Imagine leaving Eberl in charge of a rebuild. Man can’t even re-sign a manager who wants to be here.
Uli needs to fuck off. Your time have passed, it’s modern football, stop ruining shit for generations to come
They ARE the very top for fucks sake!
Bit concerning that Max and Chris cannot run smoothly but 3 years?? Really? After what we witnessed this season?…
I am not sure whether to be happy that they vetoed 3 years thing or sad that they are not letting Max and Chris to do their job smoothly
I really hope to hear some ‘Hoeneß raus’-chants during the game on Saturday. Regardless of what you think of Tuchel in particular, nobody can deny that Hoeneß’s influence on the club isn’t a positive anymore.
At this point we don’t need a “keep Tuchel” petition. We need a massive protest asking for Uli’s resignation!
Uli is Bayern’s deep state
Ich kann nicht mehr. Es ist der komplette Irrsinn hier, wie kann das sein, ich verstehe es einfach nicht.
What a disgrace.
It almost makes me want to see what happens when every single possible candidate rejects Bayern and the absolutely worst case scenario happens, how would the top react.
Uli and KHR have done enough for Bayern. But they need to fuck off from their positions for God sake
Sorry but Eberl and Freund are OUT OF THEIR FUCKING MINDS to offer him THREE years after this shitshow of a season. Why not five years or seven?
Anyone connected to the club in any way has to realize that this board is clearly damaging the club. The guys running it in daily basis can’t work because of two retirees.
I really don’t know whether to be happy or sad. Tuchel, did not seem to bring out the best in us but the coaches on the market I feel are way below his level.
Super excited for next season!
Can’t we just fire Uli and Kalle? I mean they are doing more harm than good nowadays.
The board couldn’t do a better job if they *actively tried* to sabotage the club.
Uli MUST quit! There is no other chance to solve the problem
Honestly Im sick of this Tuchel defending from fans. If he realy wanted to stay, he could have accepted the terms, play a badass season winning a couple throphies proving the board and the haters wrong and force the board to give him an extension, but he choose the cowardly way, blackmailing the club into giving him more than he deserved, and if you were true fans, than you would understand that no person is ABOVE THE CLUB. So from my point of view, adio mr. Tuchel, thanks for the one lucky title and good luck at your next stop.
Naturally.
Massive loss for Eberl and Freund and massive loss for the club. It’s clear who runs this show and it’s quite honestly disgraceful and utterly disappointing. I have zero trust in how the run is club at the moment and am now very pessimistic about its future.
there is a statement about Uli Hoeneß, that he never in his life wrote an e-mail, thats all you need to know about him.
I don’t really understand why Uli and Kalle bothered to hire Eberl and Freund if they’re not going to give them any kind of decision making ability.
There’s too many cooks in the kitchen with conflicting agendas and you can see by how information is likely leaked to the press from various parties to undermine each other how disconnected they really are.
No good coach in their right mind will want to play these kinds of politics.
Who is the very top ? Uli and Karl ?
😂😂😂
Ten Hag, Mourinho or Moyes. Its like watching Bayern become Man Utd with their decisions after an important manager leaves. The new guy will spend big money on a couple of players that dont work out and next year will also be trophyless, unless the team plays for Harry Kane more
Wow
I vividly remember all the “Tuchel raus” comments and just the pure rage at the coach around here. Some people, including me, always said that there is much more to this shitshow and that the board is to blame aswell.
And now it turns out that everything we said was completely true. We can blame Tuchel for some horrid tactics and whatnot, but what the board is doing here is club suicide.
Uli is a decrepit old fool at this point. Every coach says no to us, Eberl and Freund want to keep Tuchel, the players want to keep Tuchel, but Uli badmouths him in interviews and overrules everyone. Get fucked Uli. It’s time to retire.
All the “Festgeldkonto” comments over the last few years, all the comments against fans, all the nonsensical interviews. It has to end. Get rid of the man already
Our club is being sabotaged from the top down.
Reading this puts a different type of anger in me man!
Crazy that Uli and KHR are determined to torpedo their legacy on the way out. Pretty sad honestly
How in hell is it possible, that all this detail reaches the media so soon after?
I swear this club’s problems lie way deeper than just finding a new manager.
