1. Why on earth would anyone choose to vacation in Afghanistan? Even the people who live there want out.

3. To knowingly go to harms way. Congratulation, all three of you have won this year’s Darwin Award.

   Unless these tourists were travelers trying to visit all the countries around the world there really was no reason to visit basically a forsaken nation.

5. Taliban started recruiting tourists with the promise of its ‘Buddhist past’ the place is famous along the Silk Route and would be interesting to visit. Also don’t forget western academics were praising the Taliban as they were cleaning up democratic resistance and shaming US forces when the peaceplan failed. Jihad is people too or something you have to be a professor to understand peaceful societies embedded in jihad.

11. First time I’ve read a story of tourists being killed in Afghanistan, multiple tourists are murdered per week in the USA and world news commenters don’t freak out about them being idiots.
