Are we not allowed to use the word ‘bribes’ when speaking of this?

  2. Hospitality, either to or from the private sector, should be illegal. If I can’t keep a box of chocolates a client gives me, then these public (alleged) servants can be subjected to the same strictures.

  3. Hardly surprising. After producing a report for the government stating that alcohol was the most harmful drug, Professor David Nutt was fired in 2009. Tax revenue has a higher value to these people than the lives that are destroyed because of them.

  4. Reading this thinking “I hope they reveal who is in this group”….

    Got to

    > The group’s Chair, Conservate MP Scott Benton

My local MP. He’s an absolute piece of shit. Bear in mind this is the MP for Blackpool South. 8 of the 10 most deprived wards in the entirety of the country are in this man’s constituency. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions about the kind of man he is given that knowledge and what he is doing with this group.

  5. I’m always offended when they call it ‘gaming’. Always get contacted by recruiters to work for ‘gaming’ companies, only to find out it’s gambling and promptly tell them to fuck off.

  6. Every advert on YouTube is just gambling in one way or another. Whether it’s the more ‘innocent’ lotteries or just literal slot machines, tables etc in an app.

    Advertising gambling should be illegal.

  7. Ahh yes, profiteering off vulnerability and human misery. Sounds about the rhetoric of the Conservative party.

Honestly, I look to the States and thing they have a rough ride of it, but I guess we are a few chapters behind them

  8. I did a double take when I read the headline. I thought it had to be the onion or something, but no, this is real.

    Utterly disgusting.

  9. I hate gambling. So many people have a problem and it’s just accepted in the UK. It’s disgusting.

CEO’s making hundreds of millions in bonuses. Every third TV advert I watch is a gambling “game”.

  10. I think that the de-regulation of gambling by New Labour was probably one of the most harmful polices of any recent government.

I’ll admit that I hate gambling and I’ve seen a few people I know lose loads of money on it. I’m sick to death of not people able to watch football or even fucking bake-off without having a gambling app rammed down throat.

    Old Cracker memory incoming:

I always remember Crackers, Fitzs wife was screaming at him after he’d nicked her money again to gamble why hadn’t he just taken up drugs, as she could have lived with that.

  11. 888 888 888 constantly 888 advertisements 777 777 777 gambling casino fuck heads praying on the weak minded. Horrible legal business model. Hope they make advertising gambling illegal like tobacco.

  12. Our regulators won’t even accept a cup of coffee and their overseers do this!.
Clearly the Gambling Commission is doing something right but these MPs should be deselected or voted out at the earliest opportunity.

  13. Every other advert on TV is a Bingo or sport betting ad. When a live event is on, its EVERY advert, they should be banned full stop.
