The myth of NI Unionism is founded on the idea that the UK is a rich and prosperous country. This is not true and never has been. The truth is that London is a rich and prosperous area with a poor country attached to it.

Both during partition and today, how the economy of London is doing is as relevant to the daily life of somebody in Antrim or Down as how the economy of Paris or Berlin is doing.
