  1. It’s a tale that can tell you women were respected and appreciated always and that a certain kind of equality was there in thinking about them, but it’s not exactly a modern progressive feminist story, because they do obv. murder men and their armed independence is an unusual, rare, exotic occurence with the ending being that they give that up/are made to give it up and women are said to be “under power” of men.

  2. ive just read in a book which takes look into less known or accurate stuff in our history and there is a lot of points made that Kosmas stole the story from Moravians and put it in Prague. there is actually more of it, like the mythical 7 dukes of Bohemia with no historic description whatsoever , forefather Czech myth is probably total bs, etc. lol more i read about Kosmas, more he sounds like liar (even he meant it for good thing though)

  3. Being a traditional female is respectable. A traditional female hero myth is to “tame a wild man”. That too is respectable, not degrading.
Of course there were many exceptions in the past, for example ancient egypt was quite advanced in gender equality (but not the toxic gender “equality” that is pushed today). In Czechia during the middle ages a woman could perfectly well own a store for example, if her husband died. “Dívčí válka” might have been another exception.
