1. We all know the legal system has been rigged against small people getting any justice if the rich don’t want it. We call it realism or just the way it is.

   We all know there was a huge fuss over lawyers orchestrating coverups for sex offenders and in 2018 the SRA was going to prosecute for it. Then it decided to do it all behind closed doors, let Harvey Weinstein’s London solicitor retire part way through being not-really-prosecuted and we’ve heard no more. We don’t mention it.

   We all know massive money laundering goes through London. We don’t ask how e are je the Law Society doesn’t like to say.

   We are all still looking the other way. Including this man of course.

2. It’s a fascinating variation of the ‘Boris’ defence, currently being deployed by virtually all the Post Office senior management, and it basically goes like this…

   There were no parties.

   (wait several months for proof otherwise)

   Ok, there were parties, but I didn’t know about them.

   Ok, there were parties and I attended them but I didn’t know they were parties at the time.

   Ok, there were parties I attended and knew they were parties but I didn’t realise they shouldn’t have been held and I shouldn’t have been at them because no-one told me.

   Ok, there were parties I attended and knew they were parties at the time, but I didn’t realise they shouldn’t have been held and I shouldn’t have been there because although someone told me, I didn’t read the whatsapp before deleting it.

   General idea is to keep this running as long as possible until everyone looses interest, secure in the knowledge that even if you are found to be incompetent, a liar, and completely morally corrupt the chances of being found LEGALLY responsible are slim, its likely you’ll get a laughably small sentence, and you’ll still have your fat bonuses in the bank and your massive pension afterward.
