  9. They are so far behind the times. These days swimsuit pageants are considered backwards and misogynistic in the west.

  10. This actually bodes well for a Saudi Arabian occupation of Gaza post Hamas. If they’re willing to rebrand to this extent, they can likely be sold on the positives of the PR for helping fix a humanitarian issue (rather than causing one but I digress).

    I find it difficult to abjectly praise a country for basic things like “women can drive” and “less hangings than last year” but I guess this is some progress for a really downer area of the world right now.

  13. Been to Saudi arabia recently and the country is really undergoing a big change. And very swiftly so. Things are modernizing so fast. Hope this goes well and Saudi people can enjoy their freedoms while also keeping their traditions.

  24. Not defending MBS, but the irony is he does seem to want to liberalize Saudi Arabia and some of his repressiveness (and worse) is aimed against regressive forces in KSA who oppose any modernization.
