Rishi Sunak: general election result is not a foregone conclusion

and what the independent analysis shows that whilst of course this was a disappointing weekend for us the the result of the next general election isn’t a foregone conclusion and indeed actually is closer than or the situation is closer than many people are saying or indeed some of the opinion polls are predicting and that’s why I’m absolutely determined to fight incredibly hard for what I believe and for the future country that I want to build and that’s what I’m going to do fight for this country fight for the things I believe and deliver for everyone on the things that matter to them

Rishi Sunak has said the general election result is not a ‘foregone conclusion’ despite disastrous local election results and the Tories struggling to close the gap with Labour in the polls.

  1. Salman Rushdie will have had less enemy than rishi by the time we get him out , maybe he needs to write a book “ satanic sunak , pure evil “

  2. If he’s that confident then
Call a general election now he won’t because he wants to cling on to power for as long as he can so he and his cronies can have a last scrape at the bottom of the barrel before they get absolutely trenched in the next election. He knows a total oblivion of the Parliamentary conservatives is inevitable
Please for once in your life do the right thing call a general election sooner than later

  3. It is very true that it is not a foregone conclusion – so no time for complacency! Make sure that you bookmark 'stopthetories dot vote' and send it to everyone in your contacts list!

  4. Well do not bully the vulnerable and disabled then who genuinely need pip I get that you want people who are just taking the mick but there’s people like me who are not,who have actually problems with daily living and coping!and has for the vouchers that’s like your trying to control us and what we spend it on,it’s called personal independence payment we use it for bills rent food!that shouldn’t even be on your list to give vouchers instead of money, you give more money to people who are not working and on universal credit and housing benefits and also other benefits and the 3 extra payments of £300 every 3 months yet pip got £150 last June and a £10 bonus, nothing else and we don’t moan,it’s actually universal credit claims that are the scammers are at and yeah some in pip but not all so be careful with this if you want to stay in otherwise we will not vote you again

  5. The future country he wants to build? What with all the illegal immigrants that he’s not stopping to build it? I want him out now but if people don’t vote because they think it’s a waste of time, Liebour will get in and things will be even worse!

  6. this is a billionaire, who doesnt need the money this jobs brings….its simply about ego and nothing else, dont be fooled by his "nice guy" persona

  7. Yes, indeed you are absolutely right Prime Minister the result of the next General Election hopefully in a few months time is not something to be taken lightly.

Complacency mustn't be allowed to creep in, and I am sure your friend Mr Starmer is conveying that exact message to his shadow cabinet members and MPs all around the UK.

  8. Will it be the biggest or second biggest swing against a sitting government in living memory? No-one knows, therefore, it isn't a foregone conclusion.

  9. Should of Stuck with Theresa May from the beginning all these changes to prime ministers all the time doesn’t help it’s a bit like Spurs, Chelesa and Manchester United keep changing their managers all the time it doesn’t help at all if you want to win stop changing people at the top be like Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool consistently is what we need stop changing too much.

  10. Delusional, continuing to take take public for fools.
    call the elections.

Ur party has destroyed the country

  11. Bring back Boris and that would be such a laugh. January 2025 will be the general election as this useless unelected PM won't call one before

  12. A new generation is sick of being lead by the billionaire boys club who talk about the value of a hard days work but have never done one.

  13. Independent analysis done by a pollster no one has ever heard of, which tells the Tories exactly what they want to hear, but not what they really need to know. The delusion here is truly breathtaking, but not surprising, from a man who, since he became a Cabinet member, has never really connected with the public. When he admitted, as Chancellor, that he took money away from poorer Labour areas and gave the money to wealthier Tory ones, that told you all you needed to know about his lack of moral compass.

  14. The golden rule: “If you feel you have to go on TV to tell people the election isn’t a forgone conclusion……………guess what?”. Typical post truth Tory. Doesn’t bother opening his mouth to speak unless it’s to lie. It’s boring as to how predictable they are. It’s as though they aren’t even trying with their lies anymore. One simply understands the exact opposite of whatever they go out of their way to say, as the truth.

  15. Wat he means is he is gonna fill the back pockets of his so called leaders. Fight for this country 😂😂😂. We in recession but we have money to give out for war joke
