  8. If the claims are true, I think it might be emblematic of how little money the GOP has in Michigan. It likely wouldn’t have been hard to get 15k signatures to make sure they get a Senate candidate on the ballot, but that takes coordination and canvassing.

    Like of course there are 15k people in Michigan that want to see a Republican candidate on the ballot. The motive to fake these isn’t a lack of people willing to sign, it’s the cost of the effort.

  12. We may be missing the bigger picture here, or maybe not here specifically but in general….

    I think the GOP will increasingly and intentionally violate election laws on purpose ***and that getting caught is all part of the plan***.

    They ultimately don’t care if it’s them or the democrats or whomever that gets caught…what’s important is that they can point to something that happened and call into question the integrity of the election.

    Look…did the GOP lose any standing or credibility whatsoever with MAGA supporters for losing literally every election challenge they brought to contest 2020? No. They didn’t. All that matters is being able to sow doubt and a lack of confidence in the system by any means whatsoever.

  14. Republican leaders and talking heads will never talk about this or similar cases. It’s because they don’t actually care about voter fraud. But the truth is even more grotesque than that – It’s not simply that they don’t care. It’s that election fraud is a utility they know they need to win. And accusing everyone else of doing it is a mechanism to achieve that.
