Not read the book myself, yet the topic is definitely applicable to Belgium as well as Netherlands, Germany, UK etc. It also makes me happy that our generation regardless of where they are born largely does not want to live in oppressive religious communities.
I can also see it in our neighbourhood where we have quite a few Muslims whose grandchildren are so far removed from religion and outdated traditions that their grandparents are unable to influence them anymore. These kids are free and it makes me happy to see it.
I enjoyed reading it, would definitely recommend it if you’re interested in this topic.
I read the book. To be honest i found it to be quite eye-opening sometimes but at the same time i found it to be quite a boring book. It’s written really weird, a bit archaic at times. And also a bit too long. It’s a good book to lend in a library or to download on a e-reader , but i wouldn’t buy it.
