She should face potential criminal charges, not “questions”.
>Most recently the force has said it will certainly not launch an inquiry while Whitehall enforcer Sue Gray is conducting an internal inquiry.

>But on Tuesday, members of the London Assembly Committee Shaun Bailey once chaired, will quiz the Met Police chief.

>Mr Bailey quit his post as chair of the Police and Crime Committee (PCC) following revelations of his “raucous” lockdown breaching party before Christmas.

>Now, the PCC will make the most of Cressida Dick’s appearance on Tuesday quizzing her on the parties that have been held in line with evidence.

>The Mirror understands London Assembly member’s Caroline Russell of the Green Party and assembly member Caroline Pidgeon of the Liberal Democrats will lead the questions.
No one expects the PCC!
Not Guilty. It was in the Past.
All crimes committed in the past will not be investigated. Only those that are yet to happen in the future. At which point they become the past so cannot be investigated.
Got all that?
How can they ask questions (which is obviously part of an investigation) when they don’t have any evidence?
Also she has already taken these decisions. They’re in the past. We all know things in the past are uninvestigatable.
Honestly good. Hopefully as soon as Boris is gone, the next person will remove his useful idiot as well.
She’s got to be careful- she was hired as the stripper!!!
I understand why the line has, from the start, been “We won’t investigate these parties, because they’re in the past”.
This has been the approach of police forces nationally, to all reports of a covid breach. We will investigate it if we find a party/gathering/mother meeting in progress, but we won’t do it retrospectively. This nation has always claimed that there is one law for all, regardless of whether a person is rich, poor, black, white, unemployed or working as the CEO of some big company (I’m not here to debate whether this has always been the case with how the law been enforced in a practical sense). To take a different approach to this breach of the covid regulations because its politicians doing it would be to abandon that principal.
However, my personal view is that the approach regarding historical reports of a breach should be based on the public interest into it.
Has Steve from up the road been seen having his mates over on the regular during lockdown, and it’s been reported by one person a few days after the fact? The public isn’t interested in that being investigated, so bin it off.
Have Big Boris and his pals been caught having parties in the heart of government, with the entire nation now invested in the story? The public interest is clearly there, and there should probably be some looking into it done.
Other than the evidence in front of me…. There is no evidence in front of me. Therefor we will let the accused do an investigation and they will inform us if anything was illegal. If there are any findings of wrongdoings, we will unfortunately not be able to hold them to account as the crime was in the past.
My adhd started me in the middle of this.
First thing i read was.
“dick to face”
Given that Dame Cressida can’t see or hear, this will be difficult
Good about time the police came under fire for not doing their job,
Why did Police not react at the time- they need looking at. Nice number- didn’t want to rock the boat. Seen nowt-say nowt. unknown then this would all blow up and consume I dare say many many folks thoughts now who were present or like the officers present in the area.
I honestly thought she was having to answer questions about having a dick in her face!
