So-called popular music should have been banned from the time the Teddy Boys started on their rampages, ripping up cinema seats and kicking the crepe out of innocents. Society didn’t see the warning signs then, leading to outrages from the Mods and Rockers in the sixties, punks and skins in the seventies, New Romantics in the eighties etc, all causing mayhem on our streets.
