  1. Good but people that are undecided won’t be swayed by this. Anyone who can’t see the difference between facism and democracy is a dunce

  2. The gay agenda:

    * Step 1: Rural electrification.
    * Step 2: Desegregate the military.
    * Step 3: Popularize “Pet Rocks” with hippies
    * ….
    * Step 643: Reelect Joe Biden for a second term as President.
    * ….
    * Step 8,942: Earth’s Sun is given US statehood and its people are granted voting rights.

    Oh yeah, it’s all coming together.

  3. It’s scary what Trump, with his Project 2025, will do to LGBTQ people. If you are LGBTQ, watch out if Trump gains power again. You should fear for your livelihood, if not your life, if Trump regains power.

  4. Shared with r/LGBTnews!

    Remember, if you’re reading this and you don’t subscribe there, you *are* homophobic. ^/s

  5. After Reading Project 2025- they might want to dig deeper in their pockets …

  6. Ok, but please don’t be sanctimonious and push liberals away.

  7. Must be really depressing to have to put your voice behind GJ, someone who didn’t always believe in your right to equality… basic shit, really.

  8. Biden and Dems have accomplished more than any administration since LBJ. These are just some of the highlights:

    – over 13 million new jobs since taking office
    – passed the bipartisan infrastructure bill, the largest investment in infrastructure since Eisenhower
    – unemployment at historic, 50-year lows
    – Inflation Reduction Act
    – $35 monthly cap on insulin
    – CHIPS and Science Act, bringing back manufacturing
    – first major gun safety legislation in decades
    – largest investment in history to combat climate change
    – enshrined marriage equality into federal law
    – reauthorized and strengthened the Violence Against Women Act
    – canceled billions in student loan debt
    – largest one-year deficit reduction in U.S. history

    Trump made promises he didn’t keep. Biden delivered. Dems must broadcast this record far and wide.

  9. I really hate that so much money can be put into politics. Corporations more so because they’re not people, and are spending way more to make politicians favour them. If only there were reasonable donation limits.

  10. If only there was some way to get the Michigan swing state. Too bad he doesn’t want to get those voters behind him.

  11. America doesn’t deserve LGBT people.

    LGBT people have done so much for America, while being treated as subhumans by straights and cisgenders.

    I don’t understand how any LGBT person could love America despite what America has done to them.

  12. I mean the choice is abundantly clear. On one hand is a guy I don’t always agree with who has mostly been better than expected on a lot of issues. On the other hand is a guy who wants to end democracy and eradicate queer people. I’m not voting for the guy who is going to end democracy and imprison/kill/etc. queer people.

    Even if we wanted to look at this in a super restrictive way and focus on queer rights alone, there’s no reason to vote for Trump. I’m living under the assumption that if Trump wins, I will lose access to gender affirming care and be forced to detransition at the very least. We will see Alito and Thomas replaced with younger ultra conservative justices who will have decades to undo all queer rights, starting with Title VII, Title IX and Obergfell. We will lose everything is Trump is elected again.

    Whatever issue Biden and the Democrats have failed you on as a leftist, Trump will fail you even more. If you want to protest vote against Biden or sit out the election, just know you do so at the risk of everyone you’re claiming to support. There’s a time and place to pressure Democrats to be more leftist. An election where democracy as we know it is up for grabs is not one of them.

  13. Every one of them I know is all pro-Palestinian protest vote against Biden at this point. The hilarity these folks are pro- a group who basically wants them to not exist.

  14. My husband and I got married a year ago. We were planning a move out of New Mexico but decided to wait. Partly to let the messed up housing markets settle a bit, but also to wait and see what direction the political winds are going to blow. After RvW fell we got scared. I’d love to live in Wisconsin, but we don’t want to leave the political safety of blue New Mexico. We aren’t going near any red or purple state because it’s going to look like that old middle school book “ The Most Dangerous Game” if the GQP gets back in power.

  15. Probably gonna make people wing even more towards trump lol

  16. Thank you! I would vote Biden if he were 181! Save us from this man. He wants to punish women for getting an abortion. So many horrible things Trump wants to do us. I am so scared.

  17. I think people are *drastically* underestimating the impact ads are going to have on this election. Historically they haven’t appeared to be decisive. The most legendary political ad is LBJ’s daisy ad, that suggested Goldwater would start a nuclear war – take that ad out and LBJ still wins in a walk because he won by 13 points and got 486 EVs.

    But I think things are different now. A large subset of the population gets less information about news and politics than *ever* before. The things you used to pick up by cultural osmosis, just by listening to TV and the radio, just by watching Leno or whatever, it’s all gone now that people are just down algorithmic rabbit holes, focused solely on their own niche interests.

    So if you show them an ad, before their TikTok about parkour or bicycle repair or Warhammer 40k or whatever the fuck else, an ad that says “hey, Donald Trump wants to persecute LGBTQ people and Joe Biden supports them,” with supporting evidence… like, as unbelievable as it is to the 20% of the population that, like us, follows politics, *many people need to be* ***told*** *that,* especially young people, and when they are they’ll come home to the coalition.

    Same with **abortion,** same with emissions. Those are the biggies, but there are similar dynamics with aggressively supporting labor, or going after monopolies, or pressuring companies to stop price gouging, or to his support for letting the Trump tax cuts for the ultra wealthy expire.

    When you see polls where Trump and Biden are tied with younger voters, what you’re mostly seeing is a poll that is understating Biden’s eventually support. Because he *is* going to win younger voters. Political demographics don’t turn on their head like that, especially not with the same guys running! When Siena says voters 18-29 are 31-30 *(and, for whatever reason, the Times decides not to ever call attention to Biden leading 65+ voters 45-40)**** what they’re saying is that the overall numbers are unquestionably understating Biden’s position, because it’s almost physically impossible for him to win voters under 30 by less than 20 points. That’s just now how politics works, at all.

    ***Let me repeat this. **In the Siena poll everybody was rending their garments and shitting their pants over Trump was trailing among voters 65+ by 5 points.** **He won them by 6 points in 2016 and 2020. They are the most reliable voting demographic and many suspect the election will be low turnout.** And that’s on top of the very strong evidence from all recent special elections and the midterms that, in a twist no one saw coming ten years ago, low turnout now helps Democrats.

    This result is a fucking *disaster* for Trump and the GOP. Where are the think pieces? Where are the dire warnings of doom for Republicans? **Why don’t you think anybody is talking about that?** That’s not rhetorical, it is an actual question – does anybody have any ideas? It doesn’t seem as simple to me as “it’s a trick to make people panic click on our shit” – but maybe it is. Or are liberal pundits just in too much a doomer frenzy themselves to even look at the column three spots over from the bad result among 18-29?

    By the way (this *is* a rhetorical question) – why are retirees so gung-ho for Biden? Because they watch the fucking news. Everybody else will watch the news at least once this year, and if any don’t, we’ll shove culture war ads down their throats for months. Everything is going to be fine.

    Like, seriously, if you can look past the top line poll results – which, btw, are *absolutely* being herded, and also subtly dragged in Trump’s direction by partisan polls – there is every bit of evidence in the world of a blowout election. I can understand why people are unwilling to make bold predictions like that – either for their reputation or emotional stability – but I do not have such fears. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I’ve done way more embarrassing shit than be wrong about a Presidential election.

  18. If you support human rights for the LGBTQ community then vote for it. Every one of Trump’s policies are and were policies the republicans want. It will not end if we win this years elections. Keep voting out republicans every year.  Keep voting in democrats every year. Check your registration, get an ID , learn where your poling station is, learn who is running in down ballot races. Pay attention to primaries not just for the president but for all races, local, state and federal. From the school board to the White House every election matters. The more support we give the democrats from all levels of government the more they can get good things done. We vote out republicans and primary out uncooperative democrats.

    Last year democrat victories in Virginia and Pennsylvania and others across the nation have increased the chances of democrats winning this year. This year’s elections are important but so will next year’s elections. We just took the mayoral race in Alaska showing we can win in red states.

  19. Project 2025 tell you everything you need to know about what will happen if your gay and Trump wins.
    I encourage a lot of different groups to read it. It’s brutal. Vote Blue like your life depends on it, cause it just might.

  20. I’m all for it, the way I see it is that every guy that dates another guy, that’s two less guys I have to compete with.

    Some of the extended family tell me they’re all trying to turn everyone gay including me but I tell them how I’ve met plenty of gay people during my lifetime and not once has anyone ever suggested that to me.

    But there’s I’ve seen plenty of billboards and plenty of people holding signs and yelling at me, telling me that if I don’t become a Christian I’ll burn I. Hell forever.

  21. Godspeed, gay people. We all need to pitch in to crush Trump.
