No-one is breaking their stranglehold any time soon. They will win it again next year, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. At this point, I’m beginning to wonder if anyone else will ever win it again.

You can’t buy a frontline like Mane Firmino Salah in their prime, no matter how rich you are. So you need to build a strong team over time, just like Pep did, and then be lucky.

Actually City had won the League under Mancini and Pellegrini. The difference is that Pep was given longer than those two. In fact, if Pellegrini had finished 3rd in his first season like Pep, there’s a good chance he would have been sacked.
