  1. Penguin bemoans number of ‘supervillains’ in Gotham.

  2. [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/05/19/nicola-sturgeon-i-was-part-of-problem-trans-issues/), funnily enough, better put what she said rather than the selective quotes in the Daily Express article. She’s also not just talking about the SNP, despite the headline.

    >During her Charleston talk, the former leader said young people were entering politics “for all the wrong reasons” if they saw it as a career choice rather than believing in something.

    >“I think politics, including in my own party now, is probably too full of young people who have just come through the political ranks,” she added.

  3. She did encourage it by giving paid positions to party activists and then parachuting them into parliament.

    Mairi McAllan for example

  4. >“I think politics, including in my own party now, is probably too full of young people who have just come through the political ranks,” she added.

No one ushered this into the SNP more than Sturgeon lmao

  5. r/Scotland bemoans woman for saying the same thing they say all the time.

  6. I used to be into the SNP youth wing as I was swept up in the 2014 energy and wanted to help keep it going. Well fuck me.

The cliqueness was extremely off putting and the focus seemed perpetually on which MP would come to a social event or photo op. Most of the leadership then are now councillors/msp staff etc. It’s just a career ladder for them

  7. I think when you’re in the leadership of a party for so long, especially a party that is so dominant, a big part of your responsibility is succession planning. It’s about regularly cycling in new voices to the party, and making sure they have the opportunities to progress into those more senior positions. Normally, this sort of cycling happens more naturally through failure, Labour being quite a recent example, but it’s even more important to get this cycling right through success, and that’s something I think Sturgeon has really failed at as a party leader. Why does a party who’s been in government for 17 years, and never really looked like they had any chance of exiting it until very recently, have as its only candidate a former leader from 20 years ago?

  8. I blame westmonster and all their career politicians. Imagine influencing the pure and innocent Holyrood.

Dear, dear me what a state the SNP is in even their ex-chearleader is slating them.

FREEEEEEEDOM after my pension is fully paid up and I’ve bagged a few offshore account with lobbying money.

  9. She’s so desperate to try and keep herself relevant. Bless.

Nobody’s listening to you anymore, ya spooky bitch.
