  8. Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán’s party is campaigning for the upcoming EP elections on the notion that Brussels and NATO is pro-war, because they are sending weapons to Ukraine. Every second ad in Hungarian YT is a Fidesz (Orbán’s party) political ad calling to “Stop the War!” and that they are one of the few “anti-war” political forces in Europe (along with AfD and other far-right putinist parties, of course).

    So does that mean Orbán’s “anti-war” ads will be also removed?

  11. I hope they do a terrible job at enforcing it but make “an attempt” to keep YouTube in Russia but their “shit algorithm” doesn’t catch most of the videos. “Whoops, sorry, we must have missed that one, and that one, and that one”

    Basically use YouTube as a tool to spread anti war content, but do just barely enough to keep Russia from banning it.

    But it’s google, they don’t give a fuck and just want money.

  12. YouTube blocks videos if the government asks to do so. It avoids legal actions and bans. The bans are only in the country in question.

    it’s similar to how Google maps changes borders of countries that are in dispute depending on where you are, and no one loses their shit over that.
