Lismore Park is by no means private property. Its a public park that is open for everyone all day.

Amazin how many here are saying it’s not a guard. He’s a guard called James Fenton. Was in the news a while back. Super involved in horse racing too.
For anyone wondering this is Lismore Park, the park was closed at the time. Name of the garda is James Fenton and he has a bad reputation around the area.

What a prick. The other lads did well to keep things calm but this muppet has to have broken quite a few rules. I hope!
Is a guard allowed to approach a young fella like that and grab him by the front of his top?
Is he allowed to be poking him in the chest repeatedly, trying to get a rise out of him?
Is he allowed to use language like “fucking”, time after time?
Is he allowed to square up to young lads?
He basically does everything anyone who is given even the most preliminary training of to dealing with people is taught in their didst lesson never to do. He is there with the sole intent to escalate. He keeps walking into that kid’s space, backs him up against the chair or wall and taunts him through physical and verbal provocation.
He should be stuck behind a desk for years for this but I doubt he will be. I hope he gets the bollocking he deserves for being a total prick.

I watched him bully a barman i knew years ago into giving him a drink after hours…threatening all kinds… the barman smiled and agreed to fetch him a drink from “out the back” and watched him drink every last drop….he later informed me he had rubbed his pre cum thoroughly around the rim of the pint glass before hand. Golden.

There’s a lot wrong with how the guard is behaving in this video, but I particularly hate when guards swear at people. I think it’s extremely unprofessional.
When I was about 20 a guard starting swearing at me telling me to “fuck off home” after the nightclub had closed and I was waiting on a mate off getting the shift.
I called the guard on it in a calm and measured way, told me I was waiting on a friend and could he please stop swearing at me and he cuffed me and took me to the station.
Some guards aren’t fit for the job – angry, chip on their shoulder, going on powertrips.
These lads tarnish the reputation all the good guards.

I’m confused. Everytime I’m on this subreddit people are bemoaning “the young scrotes” and how nobody would ever stand up to them and what they’d do if they were present. And then there’s a video of a guard hunting them out of the place and everybody is claiming he is play-acting/ a bad example/ should be stuck behind a desk… What do ye all want?
Glad this got put up. It happened on the park in Lismore Waterford. I heard there was video but far not got a chance to see it. What he did is far too much, I want to see what the kids were doing prior though.
I do not know if this was connected. Not saying these kids did this.
Now there has been kids banging on doors aggressive and running away. The picked on a single mum with babies. Really scared them.
