  1. In the transition between Elizabeth II and Charles III there briefly was a “Lord President of the Ascension Council”.

    Best. Title. EVER!

  2. virgin title of PrEsiDEnt

against chad PRINCEPS IMPERATOR AVGVSTVS DIVVS FILIVS PONTIFEX MAXIMVS.

    reject modernity embrace traditions

  3. We still have a first sea lord and second sea lord. We retain some dignity

  4. Not to be a party pooper because I get the meme.

But calling a ministry an “epic” name instead of what it’s actually supposed to do is probably the least serious thing you could do.

Letting go of these names is probably the mature thing to do.

  5. During the Seven years war you had a Northern and Southern secretary, essentially as 2 foreign offices.

Not exactly serious country material. Still beats whatever the French were doing at the time, where the King’s mistress decided foreign policy.

  6. We have the shadow cabinet, at least.

Want to be a Shadow Chancellor?
