Ulster Israelism is an offshoot of British Israelism; a fundamentalist Christian belief that Ulster Protestants are one of the 9 lost tribes of Israel and Ulster (only the six counties mind you) is the promised land.
If you skim that article you’ll notice a lot of the rhetoric is exactly the same as Pasiley’s and other firebrand preachers from NI. If you take a peek inside some of those innocuous little gospel halls dotted around NI you might well see this flag. It’s just one of the flavours of crazy they teach. Suffice to say there are a lot of suit wearing, church going, deeply unhinged people walking about Northern Ireland, but since their brethren are all councillors and they ran the place for 80 years no one give it a second glance.
The flag has made it’s way out into the wild more often in recent years though, because it’s extra doubly offensive and antagonistic.
Shows utter disregard and disrespect for both flags tbh + they didn’t even bother ironing it. Uneducated moron.
