  1. I think it’s time for him to retire from the pirates movies.

  2. Please do not do a Margot Robbie Pirates. Johnny depp made the franchise what it is. Without him I doubt as many people will want to watch it.

  3. Or they could just end this franchise because it ran out of steam two sequels ago. The first one is one of my favorite movies but the charm of it is long gone and Depp is a wife beating piece of shit who doesn’t need another big paycheck.

  4. How about we do a Secret of Monkey Island movie instead? I’ll also accept a Pirates of Darkwater live-action adaptation.

  5. I would be intrigued to see Margot Robbie in a Pirates movie but a Pirates movie without Jack Sparrow is not really appealing

  6. Disney has a poor track record of responding to fan expectations.

  7. I’d be fine with another Pirates movie with new actors as long as it’s not a reboot.

  8. It’s been years of wheel spinning from Disney on this new fucking Pirates movie. It’s a franchise that is 100% linked to Johnny Depp in the public’s eye. Doing a new Pirates without him is a guaranteed bomb. BUT doing it with him isn’t a guaranteed success either. They already tried to do a “comeback” with the last sequel, and it made considerably less than its predecessor. And it was fucking awful. It all doesn’t seem worth the headache, but Disney will never put an IP to rest if there’s even the slight chance they can choke a little more money out of it.

  9. If the next pirates movie is titled anything but the death of jack sparrow, it’ll be shit

  10. I always felt like Pirates of the Caribbean was originally supposed to be an anthology series. You have the perfect setting to tell a new story every time. A new crew, a new island, a new curse or power. The original trilogy was excellent, but forcing Jack Sparrow into every title after that was a mistake imo. Disney needs to stop forcing directors to shoehorn nostalgia into a product and let artists make art.

  11. I would like a reboot. Just keep Depp away. Abusers don’t need a spotlight.

  12. I literally was just talking to my wife about this. I have no problem with a new person taking the helm would actually encourage it, just need a little baton passing by Depp and the lead shouldn’t be Margot or a similar big name, I’d like a medium actor that you wouldn’t expect to pull it off and surprises. Like Heath in Batman, no one expected a good performance and now he’s arguably the best joker there ever will.

  13. Personally I’d love to see her in a Pirates remake I mean the original came out in 2005 so it’s due.

  14. Would 100% rather a Margot Robbie Pirates over Johnny Depp.

  15. So tired of seeing Margot Robbie in everything, she’s great- but does she really need to be in every major role?

  16. People believing this man can still act with no evidence.

  17. If they bring him back in another movie, it should just be a quick cameo to finally kill his character so everyone can move on.

  18. I would love to see Margot Robbie in a remake of the 2005 film “Pirates,” starring Jesse Jane.

  19. I’d pay to see a Leonardo DiCaprio pirates movie. Directed by Scorsese
