In Switzerland one of the main reason is how complex the naturalisation process is. I imagine it is the same for Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The Gulf States on the other hand. They simply bring do not let their population even establish themselves properly.
The only reason the US isn’t listed is time. Our immigrants are now 2nd and 3rd generation now.
