If they acknowledge that these are a detriment to the city when there’s a large tourist event, why should the locals have to put up with it?
Why are tourists more important?
to the tune of Laningans ball
1 tent out, 1 tent in again
Dump brand new tents in landfill, give applicants more new tents, wait for a few days while they build up a bit, repeat. All charged to the taxpayer.
Ah the monthly pilgrimage to a field in Crooksling, just outside Tallaght…
Glad I invested in big tent.
The RTÉ is absolutely obsessed with a couple dozen tents.
I need to invest in fencing.

Funny how once asylum seekers appear in the leafy Dublin suburbs the full force of the State is used against them, yet in rural areas the full force of the State is used against the locals …. the same State calling those locals far right. The stink of hypocrisy is big here.
And where are the protests by the locals at this ?

Diplomats and fans arriving for Europa league tomorrow. Quick get rid!
Nothing to see here.
I can hardly watch. It’s getting too intents.

Ah, the weekly tent clearing thread! See you all next week
Could someone explain to me why they can’t bring the tents with them? The person who’s using it, packing up and bring with?
” Stop me,
oh-oho, stop me.
Stop me if you think that you’ve heard this one before”
A job for life.
Finally the canal side is being cleared.
Again.
Until tomorrow
Horsy head on her
Groundhog Day
Are they taking down the fences that make the ordinary Dubliner feel like a criminal as they walk along the canal?
Again?!
Residents of the mount street and canal area, we thank you for your sacrifice. You putting up with this means the rest of us here don’t have to and we can continue to virtue signal

[don’t like quotting myself but it is so cynical what they do. Fuck the locals and asylum seekers. We can’t let the global media see we’re a mess](https://old.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/1ct9nkk/over_90_asylum_seeker_tents_pitched_along_grand/l4aby99/?context=3)
See you again in a few hours, lads
