  1. R1: If the UK government increases funding for housing and infrastructure projects, that would lead to barnett consequentials for the Scottish Government to potentially do the same.

  2. Some things that stood out to me:

    – It will be a criteria to build supporting infrastructure, ensuring there are enough GPs/Schools/Transport links

    – 40% will be affordable housing

    – ‘Robust design codes’ to ensure the new towns fit in with the surrounding areas

    – High density layouts for transport links

    – Reform planning laws to make it harder for councils to block developments

    I hope it makes it to the manifesto.

  3. Let’s stop building on farmland when food security is an issue.
