  1. I am convinced that people promising that something won’t be a shitshow is 100% a leading indicator that something will in fact be a shitshow

  2. If only someone had warned the British public of the consequences of their actions

  3. Tldr – there will definitely be a shit show with the new border checks

  4. Can they also while they’re at it allow trains to call at Ebsfleet and Ashford 🙏

  5. I wish they provided opportunity to take pets to the Eurostar. I mean, for passengers travelling without their own vehicle.

At the moment one has to stay inside a car with the pet during the UK-France crossing, and those without cars of their own have to pay a lot of money for a pet taxi or something.

  6. I thought this was already happening. Used the Eurostar recently and had to go through some quite crappy and makeshift border checks. All i could think was “This is a shitshow”

  7. It’s a shame that there’s so much bureaucracy between the UK and the rest of Europe, as we’re so connected in terms of trade, commerce, and relations. If only there was some sort of united entity that we could be a part of, which would allow for easy trade and movement between our countries. Some sort of union perhaps.

  8. Make the queue long enough and you can claim the shitshow is *outside* St Pancras

  9. If they end up needing more capacity to perform checks, maybe they could run some trains to / from Stratford “International”.
