I don’t like this bill and certainly do not want it to become wider in scope…
Blocking content is a form of censorship and it is naive to expect this powers will always be used in a fair and sensible way. IMHO minors should be safeguarded by their parents/guardians, adults do not need safeguarding.
If you think any of this is about safety and prevention of sharing illegal pr0n you’re ngmi.
Its always framed that way to disingenuously then frame opponents as being for child abuse etc.
Well of course it will as either it’s on the dark web and/or the hosts don’t care about UK laws. There’s also a risk it’ll drive horny teenagers onto the ‘dark web’ which puts them at risk as well.
That said there will be other workarounds like VPNs.
