On a slightly unrelated note; the story of the first submarine cable across the Atlantic is absolutely crazy. The entire cable was made in one factory in Birmingham, England and they had to use one of the biggest ships in the world at the time to lay the thing. Absolutely massive feat of engineering prowess!

If the cables were to be damaged during the exercise, everyone would know who’s to blame. Not even the Russians are that stupid.
Also, why would they cut civilian transatlantic telecommunication lines that are used by millions of Russian internet users each day? It just wouldn’tn’t make any sense.

Russian government just agreed to move the exercise out of Irelands EEZ. Not reported where it’s moving to.
