  1. As much of Mexico experiences high temperatures this week with the third heat wave of the season, the latest national drought monitor report published by Conagua (National Water Commission) on Monday shows that drought also continues to increase nationwide.

Some level of drought was affecting 70.76% of the territory in Mexico through May 15, with different locations falling somewhere on Conagua’s range of “moderate” to “exceptional” drought conditions.

  2. Many regions are deserts or have an aride climate
Obviously those are affected very fastly by hot temperatures.

Even if this will get worse the higher the temperature gets, we should focus on the future and see what can be done. It won’t be enough to reduce CO2. Some regions will have to be abandoned or construction must be adapted and updated.
This is nothing to be scared off. Things like that happen since thousands of years. But we are very good in adaption as a species.

The one thing I want to highlight is that let us please not go into some fear mode because of articles like that. Fear does not help to find solutions. I saw many articles in the last days that do not present any solutions. They just alarm how bad it is and that we will die essentialy.
