Well Maneskin started playing in the streets and now they are on the top of the world, so.. maybe these kids are just waiting for their time at Eurovision 🙂
Are they doing this for fun or because they’re poor?
at a such young age he’s playing accordion while I can’t for the life of me understand the button panel
Of course its a adidas shoe box
This is just outright saddening
DJURDJEVDAN JE
They got straight out of a medieval fantasy
Who says punk is dead /s
Their most successful export product. You find them in every major city and supermarket in Europe.
Yo I see that fat kid in Knez Mihajlova every day. That kid slaps🔥🔥🔥. Also, they are forced to do this by their parents. They usually have I sign like “Need money for accordion classes”, but I know thats a lie since that kid plays the accordion like goddamn Mozart
boys suffering unmerited childhood when other peer group chasing joy.
This looks like a shot from a live-action Disney remake.
A lot of people commenting how they do this because of poverty. This is not true.
While our system is indeed fucked up, these fellas have an incredible organisation within their communities, and exploit that system for benefits that surpass what most Serbian people can get. If we Serbs were that organised our country would be a much better place, but it is a discussion for another day.
In adition to that, just the money bill on the side you see in the box is enough for a day’s worth of food for a man that isn’t picky.
And when they grow up, should they join one of the million Gypsy bands we have, they will live rich lives. It is easy to get a 1000 EUR payday for just 1 celebration (a few hours of playing) and we Serbs love our celebrations…
This story only has a loose connection to the idea of kids earning cash on the streets in the Balkans…there was one child in Sarajevo. Well known. He would go around begging for money. Sometimes he would have his little sister there with him. I was with some international students so he always made out good with us. I noticed when I hopped on the trolley bus one day he was on a brand new iPhone. This kid was 11, a smoker, with the latest iPhone, begging for money. I was trying to take it all in. I told everyone in a group about this. We shunned him and then one day, he got annoyed with us not giving him a free handout, he grabbed the chest of one of the girls in our group and ran away, never to be seen again.
It has nothing to do with this photo, just that I’m proud of these kids and they’re better than most
To be honest best street musicians are Romani people. Belgrade, Sarajevo, Pristina, Nis, Banja Luka and many other cities in Balkans have these type of performers.
This picture looks like a disney movie but set in 1800s france.
The adidas shoebox is just perfect
I never give gypsies money, especially children, because it just perpetuates this fucked up system. If others followed my example, the problem would solve itself.
So happy that Austria has made it illegal to beg with kids and minors.
Like something out of a Charles Dickens novel, for all the sad reasons…
The most Serbian thing I see in this photo is the Adidas box.
Ayyyyy I know these kids! They are actually pretty good haha me and my wife see them every once and awhile
Usually Roma kids forced to do such things by their families. Never ever give them money, this kids won’t see it anyway.
The other disgusting practice is ,,mother” (or whoever she is) begging with children in arms, looking like it was sleeping – in fact its drugged, to look like that for many hours.
When I was in Belgarde back in 19 I was really shocked to see (probably romani) kids performing …
They look like they’re straight out of an RPG or a Disney movie.
In Romania we just call them “beggar gypsies”, and not “street performers”.
