Deadly tornado devastates Iowa town as severe weather moves south

1. The severe weather is expected to move away from the Midwest and toward the southern Plains and the Mississippi Valley on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said, with large hail, wind damage and tornadoes likely across Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.

2. Here in downtown Des Moines, while a local broadcaster was covering the tornado watches & warnings here, they had a live feed of this, via a screen-in-screen. Greenfield was hit about an hour or so before it reached downtown DSM. Lots of surface flooding in town but no serious damage or power outages here. But we had the sirens going off earlier in the day, and then again early evening.
