1. The level of propaganda and brainwashing done by the far-right troll farms is honestly incredible. Like climate change and migration are completely separated issues and worsening climate definitely won’t bring en masse those bad brownies they are oh so scared about.

2. Well, climate change has a decent chance of generating—directly or indirectly—one of the biggest migration crises of our time!

5. Bad reporting imo. The survey asked people to select 3 topics that the government should focus **more** on. We reached our climate goals in 2023 and according to projections we are on pace to reach our goals in 2030. The survey did not ask if that was unpopular but rather if we should do more!

   For limiting irregular migration on the other hand, we do very little, so it just makes sense to want the government to focus more on it.

7. Climate change is the main reason of migration. But they don’t really want you to know that . There are places inhabitable due to floods around the world and ongoing wars .

8. The first inhospitable areas in the world will be around the equatorial zones. Once a billion people seek to head north to escape certain death, what then? One day, maybe even during our lifetime, this will no longer just be a horrifying fantasy but reality.

14. I don’t fear climate change at all. It won’t kill me (I will not live to year 2070 anyways) and I don’t have children to worry about. I don’t fear immigration either, but it actually affects my life at least.

    The best way to decrease migration to Europe is to ensure economic and environmental stability in Asia and Africa.

    Climate change doesn’t make people set off constant fireworks every single night outside my house regardless of if there is a holiday.

    Climate change also doesn’t ask me or local teenagers/children if they want to buy weed or harder drugs.

    Climate change doesn’t run rings pimping out children, teenagers and the vulnerable such as drug addicts and people with mental or developmental disabilities for prostitution.

23. Wait until they find out climate change will lead to hundreds of millions of people heading for Europe. And we really thought the internet will solve our education issues…

24. Considering that the main way of fighting climate change seems to be moving industries, farming and mining into African and Asian countries, while at the same time refusing to tackle immigration. I can see why people would like politicians to focus less on that.

    I don’t think it’s a failure of the public, I see it as a failure of political class.

    For example: Seeing thousands of muslim men march in Germany and calling for a caliphate (which happened)

    Is a more present and tangible threat for people, than climate change is. Climate change is a much more abstract and multi-faceted issue that many people struggle to fully grasp what it even means.

34. These kind of studies are often put forward with a preconceived ideology and conclusion at heart, namely that people are dumb and stupid. It’s designed to make people look bad

    but realistically climate change isn’t as pressing and every day compared with mass migration and demographic change.
